Douglas Charles Haldenby was born 3 Mar 1925 in Toronto. His father was BGen Eric Wilson Haldenby (1893-1971) who was also a Commanding Officer of the Regiment.
In 1948, he married Muriel Ross MacDonald (“Molly”) Haldenby (1926-2016). They had five children.
He was a Partner in the Architectural firm of Mathers and Haldenby and a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (F.R.A.I.C.)
He died 8 Sep 2004 aged 1979 and he is interred in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
