Education

We give guided group visits to school classes and community groups. Tours are conducted by our knowledgeable volunteers and may be guided, self guided or a combination that suits you.

The museum is open from 10 am to 2 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Tours during these periods are readily available on short notice. Tours during other periods may  be requested but depend on volunteer availability. We ask for at least 2 weeks notice to canvas our volunteers.

The normal length of a guided group visit is one hour. If desired, a longer tour can include St. Andrew’s Church, a historic building and the 48^th Highlanders Regimental church since our founding in 1891. The church has many Regimental artifacts as part of the fabric of the church. We can adjust times to meet your needs.

Group visits and entry to the museum are both free. We are staffed exclusively by volunteers. Donations to support the 48th Highlanders Museum and our dedication to keeping alive the memory of those who served Canada are gratefully received.
