Pte CUBITT, EARL RICHARD WILMOT

Born in Newmarket, ON.

Died between the Lamone River and Senio River in northern Italy as the battalion expanded its bridgehead following their successful crossing of the Lamone River on 10 December. Charlie Company beat off German attacks near a crossroad northwest of the town of Boncellino while two platoons of Dog Company captured a bridge over the Fosse Vecchio before being withdrawn as support from the other units in the Brigade was not successful.
