The set is court mounted and placed within a gold coloured frame, against a dark green background.
The frame is in the style of a shadow box and measures approx 305mmx 220mmx33mm.
The set consists of (from left to right):

- Italy Star
- France and Germany Star
- The Defence Medal
- The Canadian Volunteer Service Medal (C.V.S.M.) with bar
- The War Medal 1939-1945
To the back of the frame is attached at printed form entitled: Information regarding the Wearing of Decorations, Campaign Stars and Medals Generally, which provides instructions on the wearing and mounting of Second Word War medals, as suggested by the title. Written in blue ink in the lower right corner of the form is the inscription:
