LCol W.W.G. Darling’s garter flashes

An officers wool garter flash worn by LCol W.W.G. Darling. Officer’s flashes had a second fold layer above whereas the ORs had a single layer garter flash. The garter holds up the top of hose which were worn with a kilt. The white strap at the top is wound around the leg and hose folded down to cover it, leaving the red flash visible below on the middle of the leg on the outside, left and right.
