48th Highlanders Officers’ Mess

Programme for Spring Drill Season 1924

The following series of short lectures will be delivered in the Mess Room, Friday nights, after the regular parades:-

Friday, April 25 – ”  a Padre with the Tanks” Capt. the Rev. Stewart Parker

Friday, May 2 – “Sidelights on the Life of a Prisoner of War” Major R.Y. Cory

Friday, May 9 – “Discipline” – Major W. Maybin, M.C., M.M.

Friday, May 16 – Ladies Night (No lecture)

Friday, May 23 – “Gas Warfare” Lieut. E. Gordon, M.C.

Friday, May 30 – Associate Members Night. – A Playlet will be given by the Junior Subalterns.

Th lectures will be of about twenty minutes’ duration. The Committee is very anxious to secure a large attendance of Associate Members on each parade night.

Suggestions for any improvement that would add to the comfort of the Mess will be welcomed.
