48th Interlocking Belt Buckle

Two-piece silver, possibly chromed, interlocking belt buckle, left piece with locking centre plate has stamped a large number “48”, and right piece with circular outer frame of lock has stamped around it the words “DILEAS GU BRATH” and 5 diamonds at the bottom. On the ends of each piece of the buckle are rectangular frames with openings in the middle for inserting a belt into. Stamped into one side of the back of the rectangular frame part of the right outer frame piece are the text: “SCULLY LTD.  MONTREAL”.  This belt buckle was worn as part of parade dress.
