Sgt Lawson, James

Son of James and Elizabeth Lawson; husband of Joan Murray Lawson, of Toronto, Ontario James was born in Aberdeen, Scotland i 1901. He enrolled for active service in the 48th Highlanders on 4 September 1939 having served for 12 years in The Gordon Highlanders (1919-1931) and several years in the 48th Highlanders (Militia). He was married to Joan and he listed his occupation as storekeeper.

On 28 May 1941, he was posted to the 11 Tank Regiment (Ontario Regiment) in Camp Porden. He was killed in a tank accident in England on 21 Feb 1942
