Sergeant James Harker of Able Company was kia on Tuesday 5 September 1944, age 23, in the Gothic Line battle short of the Conca River, Italy.
Harker enlisted with QOR in 1940 and served in Nfld, N.B. and England before joining the 48th Highlanders in 1943.
