Pte Reichelt, Albert Joseph

B166052 Pte Reichelt, Albert Joseph of Stevensville, Ontario enlisted in Hamilton in 1944 when he turned 18. He arrived in the UK in the spring of 1945 and was part of the 1 May 1945 reinforcing draft for the 1st Battalion 48th Highlanders in Holland. In June, Reichelt was posted to the 4th Battalion Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada for the Canadian Occupation forces in Germany. He died in a collision of his jeep with a civilian milk truck in Germany in 1946.
