Pte PRICE, Thomas

47926 Private Thomas Price was a 31-year-old linesman Glasgow, Scotland with 7 years pre-war service in the Highland Light Infantry when he attested into the 37th Battalion at Niagara Camp in May 1915. He was transferred to the 17th Reserve Battalion at Shorncliffe in June 1915 and then to the 15th Battalion in July serving in the two trench tours that month north of Ploegsteert Wood. During the August 15-21 trench tour near Wulverghem, he suffered a GSW to his left thigh on August 21st and was evacuated to the 3rd Canadian Field Ambulance. Private Price died of his wounds the next day at the 3rd Canadian Casualty Clearing Station and was buried in the Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension.
