Piper James Morrison joined the Pipe Band of the 1st Battalion, 48th Highlanders of Canada in 1939, travelling overseas with the battalion on SS Reina del Pacifico in December 1939 arriving in Gourock, Scotland on 31 December 1939. Wounded at Nissoria, Sicily on 25 July 1943.
