Peter Dewar is the twin brother of Pipe Major Archie Dewar. He came to Canada in April 1926 with his mother, brother and sister. He and his brother began to learn to play the pipes from Pipe Major James Fraser and by 1928 both had began to play with the 48th Pipes and Drums.   Peter payed in the band until 1939.  In civilian life he worked for Safety Supply Comany beginning as a clerk he retired as Vice President and General Manager.
