Pte CLARK, Alexander Ogilvie

193273 Private Alexander Ogilvie Clark was 31 year old teamster originally from Keith, Banffshire, Scotland when he attested into the 92nd Battalion in August 1915 at Toronto. In the UK he was sent in a reinforcement draft to the 15th Battalion in March 1916 and served in No. 3 Company during the trench tours at Hill 60 in April and May. Following the battle for Observatory ridge (Mount Sorrel) in early June, Private Clark was attached to the 3rd Canadian Light Trench Mortar Battery.

On June 17 he was wounded in the head and right eye by shrapnel and evacuated to No. 13 Stationary Hospital Boulogne. He was transferred to the C.C.A.C .Folkstone where he died of his wounds on July 28th. Private Clark is buried in a family plot in Keith (Broomhill) Cemetery.
