Private TELLIER, Frederick Russell

27408 Private Frederick Russell Tellier was a 20 year old farmer from Heaslip, ON when he attested into the 15th Battalion at Valcartier in September 1914. He was part of the contingent from the 97th Regiment (Algonquin Rifles) that made up part of the original 15th Battalion. Private Tellier was serving in No. 3 Company at 2nd Ypres when he was gassed and taken prisoner. He died of gas poisoning at a Krieg Lazarette which was a German medical facility in Gent and was buried in Gent Cemetery.
