The battalion had started another trench tour at Hill 60 on July 10th occupying trenches 39 through 41 and a Bombing Post at Trench 45. Slinn was transferred to the battalion Grenade (Bombing) Section and fought at Festubert in May as well as the 1915 trench tours at Ploegsteert in the Fall-Winter and at Hill 60 in the Spring of 1916.
