Use navigation buttons at the top or bottom of each ‘display’ page to navigate between displays. Only those displays that meet your filter criteria will be shown. The ‘Display list’ button takes you back to the display listing.
The artifacts listed on each ‘display’ page are all in the current display. You can click on any of these to learn more. We have flagged those you should find more informative.
Many artifact screens have links to related artifacts and and/or related Highlanders. We invite you to to explore these links if you have the time. When you have finished exploring as many artifacts and Highlanders as you want, click the “Back to Display” button (upper left corner of each screen) to return to the original display page.
When you click a link on a display page you may be taken to a page on the Museum site that does not have a ‘Back’ button. Just click the “Back” button on the toolbar at the top of the screen. In other cases, the link may point to a different web site. In that case. to return to the display page, simply switch back to this app.
I would like to post more information on my Fathers time with 48TH.
Through WW1 & WW2
What is it you with to post. Please add it as a comment here and we’ll take a look and try to fit it into his page. Have you posted on the Association Facebook Pages?
Geordie- I have WW1 &WW2 pics & military correspondence. My Father was a Sergeant, Lieutenant in WW1 & a Captain in WW2. He was a Commanding Officer @ Canadian Army Trade School in Hamilton, Ont.
Geordie – I did find a posting I put on your Facebook some time ago.
No worry. This is the type of archival info we want to fill in Highlanders files. We will work on his bio now. I have edited his rank for now. I’m at the cottage and our wifi is not as strong as at home so I couldn’t get into his Library and Archives file.
If you take a look at some of the other soldiers bios…from that period you will see at the top of the page we summarize his service and his life before and after in a couple of paras and at the top put a couple of highlights. If you want feel free to draft something on him and I will add it in. I don’t think it will let you send pix this way but if you send them to me at rgelms@mac.com I’ll insert them into his page.
Thnx I will start to figure it out.
