Private EDWARDS, ARTHUR

27334 Private Arthur Edwards was 25 year old machinist originally from Lamberhurst, England with pre-war service in the East Kent Volunteers when he attested into the 15th Battalion at Valcartier in September 1914. He was serving in No. 3 Company at 2nd Ypres on April 24, 1915 when it was hit by chlorine gas and overrun. He survived the attack but died of gas poisoning on May 2nd at No. 3 Stationary Hospital and was buried in Boulogne Eastern Cemetery.
