Piper See, Reginald Stewart

Pte Reginald Steward See, service number B-74119 enrolled in the 48th Highlanders of Canada in Toronto on  03 April 1940. He was sent for training to No. 2 Canadian Infantry (Rifle) Training Centre (CASF) in Camp Borden, Ontario. He completed his training and was returned to the 48th Highlanders on 14 July 1940 “on proceeding overseas to the 48th Highlanders of Canada (CASF) as reinforcement.”  Our records don’t show which ship he embarked on, most likely from Halifax.

See  received a leg wound while in England, was discharged in January 1941 and sent back to Canada. Later when his wound healed, See joined the RCAF and went back overseas with them until the end of War.”
