Padre, the Reverend Stuart Crawford Parker

The Reverend Stuart Crawford Parker was minister of St Andrew’s Church, Toronto. from 1923 to 1950. As was the tradition with the 48th Highlanders, until late after WWII, the minister of St. Andrew’s was the Padre of the 48th Highlanders militia regiment. During WWII Reverend Parker was made Chaplain of the 2nd Battalion 48th Highlanders, formally by DND, on 22 April 1941. He was appointed Chaplain of the RCAF on 31 July 1942 and then back to the 48th on 20 October 1943.

His father,  Major George Hastings Parker, served in South Africa and was killed in action on the 19th December, 1914,
