This Officer commanded a section of a Raiding Party on the night of March 2nd, 1917 in the Colonne Section.

On entering the enemy trenches the party met with stiff opposition and were heavily bombed.  Lieut Reeves thought wounded led the attack on the enemy, overpowered them, drove them out of the trench and established a block at they point.  He then bombed four occupied enemy dugouts and captured two prisoners.  He was the last of his party to leave the enemy trench, and for two and one. half. hours searched No man’s land under heavy machine  gun fire for a NCO who had been wounded on entering. the enemy frontline.  His courage and example contributed largely to the success of the enterprise.
