Lieutenant MUIR, ARTHUR EDWARD

Lt Arthur Edward Muir. Officer of the original 15th Bn. Left behind in the UK with Base Company at Tidworth barracks when the battalion deployed to France in Feb 1915. Joined the battalion with the Base Company following the chlorine gas attack at 2nd Ypres and was KIA at Festubert on 21 May 1915. His body could not be recovered and hence he is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial.
