C77154 Cpl Cooper, Harold Frederick

C77154 Pte Cooper, Harold Frederick is on the sailing list from Leghorn (Genoa) Italy to Marseille, France (11 to 13 March 1945) with the 1st Battalion 48th Highlanders of Canada when the battalion, as part of the 1st Canadian Division, was sent from Italy to Northern Europe to complete the liberation of Holland. Cooper was A/Cpl after the war and occupation ended, traveling from NWE to the UK (4 to 5 Sept 1945). His promotion to Cpl was confirmed when at the Repatriation Depot to be shipped home from Dover on 7 September.
