Various stamps with an image of the 48th Highlanders seal in the centre, in the diamond badge design, likely from WW2 period. Three of the stamps are in the form of grey-colour metal plates of different sizes and one stamp is a small brown wood square. The three plates have text in reverse under the seal reading: “The 48th Highlanders of Canada”, and a number in reverse in the bottom right corner, with the two metal plates with the smaller image having the number 53 and the larger image plate having the number 73. The two larger plates are a darker grey with bronze coloured rust around the raised seal and text parts, while the smaller plate is lighter grey and is shiny. On one side of the wood block stamp has text carved into it reading: “R G & B TORONTO”, likely the name of the manufacturer of the stamp. These types of stamps were likely used within the regiment to mark documents with a manual hand press.
