An 8 inch (20.32 cm) by 36 inch (91.44 cm) sepia photo in a dark brown wood frame with glass cover of the Unveiling of 48th War Memorial,  11 November 1923.

Over 25,000 Torontonians attended the unveiling. The War Memorial stands at the head (north end) of Queen’s Park Circle in which is the Ontario Parliament Building. The Memorial was designed by Brigadier Eric Haldenby of the architectural firm of Mathers and Haldenby. Brigadier Haldenby had served with the 15th Battalion (48th Highlanders) in WWI and as LCol took the 1st Battalion, 48th Highlanders overseas in December 1939. On the Memorial are the 50 battle honours of the 48th Highlanders.

The 48th Highlanders hold a Remembrance parade to the War Memorial on the closest Sunday prior to Remembrance Day on 11 November.
