King George VI and Queen Elizabeth meet officers of 48th Bn.

Their Majesties visit the Canadian Division – June 1940

Lt Philip Frowde Seagram of the 48th Highlanders is on the extreme right of the photo as ADC to Gen Andrew McNaughton who is shaking hands with King George VI. The King and Her Majesty  Queen Elizabeth were at Aldershot England, June 1940 for a visit and inspection of the 1st Canadian Division, including the 1st Battalion,  48th Highlanders of Canada.  Captain Seagram was killed in bombing raid on London on March 8 1941.
