Set of three silver bayonets all with stamped in model name of “No.4 Mk II” on socket. Additional stampings on each bayonet of possible makers’ information, one has stamped in “L. ENG” and below it a rectangle box with “S376” inside (L. ENG stands for Lewisham Engineering located outside London, UK), one has initials “P.S.K” and the third has “P.” under the military model designation marking. These bayonets were issued for the Lee-Enfield in WW2 and were first adopted just before the war. Also, they are marked with the roman numerals meaning they were issued before 1945 when the “Mk II” was changed to Arabic numerals appearing as “Mk 2”. All three bayonets are in same model of scabbard with ball end, 2 screws at top opening, and protrusion on side for attaching carrying strap.
To note, as they are chromed, it is likely that they are for parade use only by the members of the regiment’s Colour party.
