Card, 4″ x 5 11/2″ with fold-down flap in tent shape. Card, when closed, shows a bell tent with bell tents in the background and wording over bell tent – “1895 The Season’s Greetings from the Sergt Major and Sergeants 48th Highlanders Toronto, Canada” and “Toronto Dec. 25th 1894.” When open the card shows a 48th Highlander Sgt Major in White Shell dress standing with glass held high and a Sergeant seated in Scarlet tunic, all by a roaring fire. On the open panel is the 48th Highlanders buckle badge, flanked by a stand of colours above a basket hilted sword and rifle.
