Photo of The Royal Family at Windsor Castle in 1959, before the Canadian Tour

Royal Tour Canada 1959 Folder – 1959

A small folder issued by The Telegram with a portrait of the Royal Family on the front.  On the reverse is in print, Portrait Of Our First Family  Rarely do all four members of a family look so cheerfully relaxed, as any home portrait photographer knows.  This distinctive and informal portrait of Canada’s Royal Family was made by the Telegram’s Russell Cooper at Windsor Castle a few weeks before Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip set out for the 1959 Canadian Royal Tour.
