Brown canvas rifle case, 51″ long. Tapering width: 9″ at widest, 4.75″ at narrowest. Leather edging on the top and bottom, only about a quarter of which is intact on the top, and half on the bottom.
Leather piece stitched on back, about 7″ from top; likely the bottom part of a buckle, which is missing. Above this is a black mark of an arrow pointing upwards and the number 13. Leather strap for securing the top flap to the buckle is intact.
Inside of case there is lettering that reads: “L” and then below that, “WM Peters & Sons,” then “1918.”
Writing on top part of case reads “H. A,” likely for Harold Ashling.
