The parade at Redhill England in 1941 celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the 48th Highlanders of Canada. General Hamilton, of the Gordon Highlanders, was Honourary Colonel of the 48th 1911 – 1919 and 1921 – 1947. Note that the censors has whited out the shoulder flashes of the 48th Highlanders for security purposes. The photo, the same as P0523, is signed by Johnston on the back.
