A dark brown wood photo frame with a piece of loose transparent glass as a cover, with a piece of cardboard backing, containing 4 different photos of Pte. Harold C. McKay. Of the 4 photos, 2 photos are in black and white, 1 photo is in sepia, and 1 photo is partly colourized – mainly Pte. Harold C. McKay and some of the foliage in the background. 2 of the photos appear to be duplicates, with one being black and white while the other is partly colourized, and shows Pte. Harold C. McKay alone and looking away from the camera and standing in front of a mountain and town, wearing military dress, the back of both of these photos have written “98-19”, and the back of the colourized photo also has written “coy colore -“. 1 photo, also in black in white, is a portrait photo of Pte. Harold C. McKay alone from the chest up, in military dress, and appears to be in a photo studio, the back has printed the date “17 AUG 1945”, and has written “42” and “To my dear Mother + Father From Harold.” 1 last photo is in sepia and shows a group of 17 children posing in 3 rows for the photo, one of them may be Pte. Harold C. McKay when he was a child, and the back of the photo has a sticker attached with the information of the printer “Frank J. Lee PHOTOGRAPHER KINCARDINE, ONT.”
