First Canadian Division Boxing Trophies – 1941- 42, Pte A Roher

1st CDN Div Boxing Trophies won by Pte A. Roher

A 6 inch (15.24 cm) wide by 11 inch (27.94 cm) tall brown wooden base with tear-drop shaped rising and affixed from back edge. On tear-drop: Maple leaf with 1941 engraved in middle; shield C.A.S.F. Championships England and  a circle in center with two boxers and Welter inscribed at bottom; Pte A. Roher B73713 inscribed below circle; Three coin shaped medallions: left – 1st Cdn Division England 1942 Welterweight Champion Pte A L Roher 48th H of C; right – Cdn Corps unit team England 1942 Champions Pte A L Roher 48th H of C; centre below – 1st Cdn Division England 1942 Unit Team Winners 48th Highlanders A. L. Roher. On wooden base a figure of a boxer with helmet. All plated gold/bronze  on metal, coins on plastic.

The collection may have been assembled or the 1942 coins added to the 1941  Welterweight Champion trophy by Roher at a later date.
