Captain Gord Proctor looks at a map while radio man, Cpl Hook, reports position from the side of a bridge. On objective Bridge intact. from the embankment, on the south side of the Marecchia in Rimini, Capt G.J.W. Proctor, Toronto reports his company as “on objective bridge intact”   L/Cpl B.W. Hook, Toronto passes the message back to Regimental HQ and the Unit advances, Canadian Overseas photo. The Germans had blocked streets with blown-up buildings and had demolished the bridges over the river. However, under an agreement with the Canadians, they spared one bridge, the historic Ponte di Tiberio, completed by Tiberius in 27 B.C.  –  P0568
