48th Highlanders

It has been decided to cease drill after Friday the 11th instant, until after the New Year.

It is particularly necessary that every member of the Regiment be present on Friday Evening next, so that instructions may be given for any contingencies which may arise during the interval.

Volunteers will also be asked for our quota of three additional infantry regiments to be mobilized in this district.

Those working at night, or who are unable to be present through illness, must notify the Officer Commanding their respective companies.
