Information- Any physically fit man between the ages of 18 and 40 who would be interested in joining this well know Canadian Highland Regiment may obtain all the required information by visiting the Bn Orderly Room this evening (Room 132 at the South East end of the main floor) or on any Tuesday or Friday evening or during the day by calling WA. 7509. Come down with your friends and join up together in th 48th Highlanders of Canada, wear a Davidson Kilt and march with our famed Pipe and Brass Bands.

First Great War
On mobilization Regiment was designated as 15th Bn (48th Highlanders of Canada) serving in the 3rd Brigade, 1st Canadian (Red Patch) Division. In addition to the home Bn, two additional Bns were recruited for overseas service, namely the 92nd and 124th Bns. Theatre of operations FRANCE.
Second World War
1st (Overseas) Bn of the 48th Highlanders of Canada served in the 1st Brigade of the 1st Canadian Infantry (Red Patch) Division. 2nd (Reserve) Bn was the home BN and the source of many reinforcements for the Overseas Bn.

Regimental Pipe Band
Pipe Major – Pipe Major James R. Fraser for the past 37 years. This famous Band during 1949 competed against a total of 37 Pipe Bands in open competition with the following excellent results – 11 firsts, 3 seconds, 1 third.
Regimental Brass Band
Bandmaster – WO11 Albert Dobney
The distinction of being the first kilted Brass Band in Canada. This well known Toronto Band every year plays at numerous events and functions in and around Toronto.
