2nd Bn 48th Song Sheet 1940’s

2nd Battalion (R.)

48th Highlanders of Canada Song Sheet

This song sheet is issued to you with a two-fold purpose in mind. To assist in creating harmony and good fellowship in the battalion and to provide a lift during marches while on training.

Singing definitely increases the ability to take long route marches-BUT- the singing must be in proper marching rhythm.  Singing or whistling off the beat is worse than useless. Memorize the words on this sheet., keep rhythmic discipline and “M” area will be just around the corner.

The song sheet was used in the Officers and Sergeants Messes after parade and evening training. They would gather around a piano to sing. Songs inside and on reverse
