4×6 Black and white photo in uniform Killed on May 15, 1944  while turning his jeep around on a reconnaissance of the start line for the attack up the Liri Valley toward the Hitler Line, south of Pontecorvo, Italy and overlooked by the Germans on Monte Cassino. His jeep hit a mine, killing him instantly.
