Pte George S. Roe, #646, F Squadron 2nd C.M.R.

Pte Roe joined the 48th Highlanders prior to 1899, #646 in the enrolment list. He volunteered for the war in South Africa and was assigned to F Squadron, Canadian Mounted Rifles. In the display is a letter written to his Company Commander in the 48th Highlanders, Captain Charles Catto.
