Pte ADAMSON, Clarence Lorne

47936 Private Clarence Lorne Adamson was an 18 year old farmer  from Gravenhurst, ON when he attested into the 37th Battalion (Northern Ontario) at Niagara Camp in May 1915. He was initially sent to the 17th Reserve Battalion in the UK but in July was sent in a reinforcement draft to the 15th Battalion. Private Adamson served in No. 4 Company throughout the Fall of 1915 and the Winter-Spring of 1916 in the Ploegsteert- Hill 60 sectors.  He was wounded in the head by shrapnel when the battalion was in line in front near Hill in late June and died at No. 5 Canadian Field Ambulance on June 25th.
