Arthur Percy Goddard in White Shell

Goddard, Arthur Percy – 1906 – 1910

Arthur Percy Goddard enlisted in the 48th Highlanders on 23 April 1906 at the age of 20. He was assigned to E Company. Percy was discharged on 15 April 1910. On 03 April 1916 he attested for overseas duty with the 161st Bn and once overseas was transferred to the 18th Battalion. His attestation papers recorded that he served 10 years with the 48th Highlanders prior to the war.

NOK: Mrs. Beatrice Goddard, Wife.

Goddard received a gun shot wound to his back on 27 August 1918, returning later to the 18th Battalion. He was discharged in Canada on 24 May 1919 and died in Guelph Ontario on 16 June 1965.
