Prince William talking to MCpl Robertson

At Pirbright camp, Prince William, Prince of Wales talks with MCpl Graham Robertson of the 48th Highlanders of Canada a couple of days in advance of the funeral parade and ceremony of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

MCpl Robertson and four other 48th Highlanders, Cpl Scarlino of the Pipes and Drums, 2nd Lt Outram-Kuzma;  RSM (CWO) Reesor, CD and the Commanding Officer LCol Jason Morrische, CD represented the 48th Highlanders of Canada at the funeral of Her Majesty.

Her Majesty was the Colonel-in-Chief of the 48th Highlanders, an appointment HM accepted in Oct 1947 when Princess Elizabeth. This appointment, and that of the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada and the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in Scotland, were the first appointments accepted as Colonel-in-Chief. The 48th Highlanders thus was privileged to have Her Majesty as Colonel-in-Chief for 75 years.
