Single page, browned paper document with company name printed in top left: “MURRAY, MATHER & CO. INVESTMENT BANKERS TORONTO”, top right has printed: “STATISTICAL DEPARTMENT”, slightly below these and in the centre, likely printed from a typewriter, is written: “List of 48th HIGHLANDERS PRISONERS OF WAR”, below this title is printed: “15th Batt.” (meaning 15th Battalion), and the rest of the page from top to bottom is a list organized with columns of the members of the regiment who were prisoners of war with their name, service number, location in the camp(i.e. barrack and room number), and the name of the camp which they were imprisoned in(i.e. Gottingen, Celle Hanover, Dusseldorf, etc.). The list only has some names, 47 in total, sorted by their last name and starting from ‘A’ and ending at ‘Co’, so this is likely only the first page of a larger document.
During the early 1900s, this company, Murray, Mather & Co., handled the finances of the regiment including pay and insurance, which is likely why they had such information.
