This book is about Hurricane Hazel storm in October 1954 that took a severe toll on the people of Southern Ontario. Note: the 48th Highlanders were called out in Toronto in the aftermath of the storm to conduct, amongst other tasks,  civil search and rescue operations which included probing rivers and stream beds for bodies.
