The respirator is a thin-gauge black rubber mask with clear plastic single piece oval vision slot sealed into front of mask with brown outside and white inside cloth edging. Join in rubber is sealed with olive green cloth and mask tapers towards large opening at bottom. Black painted metal filter canister inserted into opening and sealed with wide rubber band. A perforated base of canister in painted light metallic green and is secured to main body with white cloth tape with white cloth adjustable head harness. The mask is marked HENLEY 5-40 the canister is embossed MB 37.
