Hales Rifle 303 Grenade

A cast brass 3 inch by 5.5 inch long grenade meant to be launched by a British SMLE No. 1 MK III .303 Enfield Rifle. The scored bulb near top of grenade was to increase explosive radius.

Grenade launchers were put on lesser condition rifles that may have been taken out of service otherwise extending service life and saving resources.
