Long white letter envelope containing:

  1. various military flashes: 8 Khaki shoulder patches with the word “CANADA”; 3 Khaki service stripes worn on the sleeve showing years of service  (arrow shaped patches with red chevrons); 2 1st Division patches (solid red rectangles);  1 solid black rectangle;  2 long black shoulder patches with “22 AA RCA” in red in the middle;  1 circular khaki sleeve patch with a thin red circle near the edge and a red arrow and circle in the middle (gunner patch).
  2.  6 photographs of various sizes: a small circular sepia portrait; a small square photo of a number of individuals in the back of a truck; a photo of Pte. Harold C. McKay standing in front of a large coastal gun; three photos of Pte. Harold C. McKay wearing the uniform of the 48th Highlanders and likely taken in Italy with two of the photos attached onto larger rectangular cardboard pieces that state “Formato Visita” in the bottom right corner and has the emblem of the Italian monarchy in the bottom left.
  3. a white leave pass to Saint John, New Brunswick for July 10-11, 1943
  4. a light blue card for permission to buy alcohol from “THE STORES OF THE NEW BRUNSWICK LIQUOR CONTROL BOARD” from August 19-21, 1943.
