Veterans contingent march off from the 48th Highlanders War Memorial at the head of Queen’s Park Circle. The parade and Service on Sunday 30 May 1971 was the last of several Re-union events (Parades, dinners) held over three days to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the founding of the 48th Highlanders in 1891.
