A 19.5 inch (49.53 cm) by 23 inch (58.42 cm) 48th Highlanders  Competition Trophy  awarded within D Company. The trophy, in the shape of a shield in wood with a tin/plated inner shield with engravings,  was first awarded in 1906 and resumed again in 1931.  Twelve small plaques of the winners are affixed,  eight around the top of the inner shield and 4 at the bottom. A 48th Highlander silver buckle badge is affixed at the top of the tin plate.
