48th CDF Bn Recruiting Drive in USA – Colour Pty – 1917

Colour Party  standing easy while waiting for 48th Highlanders CDF Bn in New York City recruiting with 236 Bn in 1917. The 48th Highlanders sent a contingent and their Pipe Band and Military Band as part of a Canadian Forces recruiting drive in New York City, Chicago  and Newark in 1917, seeking enlistment in the Canadian Expeditionary Force overseas in WWI. The USA had yet to participate in the war.
